Snicksown: they both went. The JHU went great, really well, you know... I askedher a million questions... she seemed really pleased... all aroud great
Snicksown: the UofC one... well, I didn't feel that any of my responses were really great.
Snicksown: they were all adequate, and almost all quite good
Snicksown: but he asked strange questions, and I suppose I was much more able to respond than the average person applying
selon miller: what kind of questions?
Snicksown: he asked me things like "you are going to be turned into a musical instrument tomorrow. There is nothing you can do about it except choose the instrument. What do you choose and what does it say about you?"
selon miller: heehee
selon miller: awesome
selon miller: go him
selon miller: i hope i get questions like that
Snicksown: Or "What makes soldiers torture their prisoners?"
selon miller: i would say trombone, because i'm all about versatility and articulation
Snicksown: Or "What if I told you we were scrapping the uncommon app and asking applicants to submit 5 words and only 5 words to describe themselves. What are yours?"
Snicksown: I said clarinet

Snicksown: he was a HUGE music guy
Snicksown: almost made a career of being a concert pianist

Snicksown: he asked a lot of music questions
Snicksown: dunno, 35 or 40
selon miller: how long did it last?
Snicksown: probsbly 35
Snicksown: dunno
Snicksown: but at the end, I got to correct him about opera
Snicksown: (it was the anvil chorus)

Snicksown: he liked that, I think
Snicksown: but after the interview, he made some comments about "when you come here next year" and such
selon miller: oh, awesome
Snicksown: his feedback after was reallllllly positive
selon miller: you saw it?
Snicksown: no... but what he said to me
selon miller: like what
Snicksown: I saw everything he wrote during the interview, but it wasn't really reflective, it was more just notes of what I said
Snicksown: and little symbols
selon miller: hehe
Snicksown: but he said that when I get to school there next year, there are some people he wants me to meet
selon miller: oh
selon miller: awesome
Snicksown: and he also said that I shouldn't worry about my application because "your ship is about to dock"
selon miller: haha
selon miller: well then
selon miller: i guess it went prettty well
