We're off to see... Ohio
So, it's August. There was an Acadec meeting yesterday. You have to love the way Mr Hahm calls any small attendance meeting, no matter who is there, the "core group, the heart of the team". Ha. Anyway, no more summer meetings, just the first week of school. Yay. From there, we went directly to the library. White Elephant was fun- I ended up with Soap on a Rope which I wore as a necklace all evening, and a really cool poster as a way to end the otherwise endless game.
We did trophy art (some of us, anyway... ) and I danced. No music, but I danced anyway. :-)
Back to my house, then, where I lost badly at Rook, and I discovered a particularly nice way to watch Cubs games, and both printers in my house decided they hated me.
Tomorrow morning, at about 9 (in theory at least...) we will be leaving to visit friends in Mansfield, Ohio. We will go to a lot of garage sales, and hopefully find some cool stuff. I'll get to swim in the big pool in their yard, and eat whatever she makes, because she is the best cook I know, with few exceptions. Yum. I think we might go school supply shopping, too. Fun. I'm supposed to read some stuff, like AP US stuff, and Superquiz and the novel, and all I find myself wanting to read is Heinlen. Whoops.
But, when I woke up this morning, you were on my miii-iiind, you were on my mind...
