The music ends it all.
It says it has only been two days since I added my last entry, but I am willing to bet it has been considerably longer then that.
This weekend was really cool. Friday- Acadec, which was nice despite the minor difficulty of using a computer with one hand. :-) Then we went to dinner, and picked Zach up at the airport. It is good to see him again. We dropped in on Deana, and hung out there for a while. I felt bad, because I was grinning at the wall, and felt disconnected. I wanted to be, but I was in my happy place. That sounds odd, and I don't know if I can do anything to clarify that online. Sorry.
Saturday morning we got up nice and late. Russ and Deana showed up at 11:30 ish and John at noon, so we decided to go to lunch. Lin's Garden, where Joe later joined us. The only remarkable thing there was a comment about a certain WW2 guy. Ahem.
More people showed up at 1, and we then left for the concert. The Cobbmobile was a tight squeeze- 10 people in a space designed for 7- but no one complained much, except for the ratchets. :-)
The concert itself was great. I had a splendid time- Roxanne, Ian, you were fabulous, and I know I had a good time. And I wasn't even calculating instantaneous velocity. :-)
After the concert and photo shoot, we went back to my house for the Saturday thing. We ate pizza and some people watched Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Good movie. Again, I was happy right where I was. Wouldn't change a thing, were I to go back. Which would be cool. Instead, I'll keep looking forward to after school hours. Grins.
Sunday- Went to church, and saw another prodidgy Andrew play the organ. We played cards and Life at home, then went to go see Star Wars again, which I think I might have mentioned already. Later, after dinner, we went bowling. Fun, and Deana and I have plans to repeat the experience replacing key people. Sorry, it isn't that we don't like you or anything, but...
Monday- We were going to go to the picnic and parade at 11, but I got distracted, very pleasantly, on the phone for a good hour or so. We missed the parade, but no one seemed to mind, least of all me.
Then we went to Lauren's, which was better then expected. Abby was there, and a girl named Dina. I played Mancala, and kicked serious butt. Grins.
Then on to Deana's. Good Times. Played Foursquare- which my friends can make competitive. Incredible. They had a hootananny, and some of the naieve glass in the window of my life (which has been slowly cracking) seems about to shatter. Hammer blows to it make it a teeny bit unstable. As I type this, I will warn you that unless you are Caitlin, this has less then nothing to do with you, and I can not talk about it. Sorry, I mean this.
Back to happy again. We were watching Moonraker, like nice civilized Bond watchers, when we were invaded. They put on Aladin, and we never got to see Bond in Space! Sigh! Grins. We did have fun with Aladin, though, and take my word for it when I say that they are indeed CLOUD-TOED SHOES!
Tuesday- School, where I slept in all three of my major classes. Thank you to Sunia, Alex, and Joe for waking me up, I think. Zach came to school at lunch, and I gave him a tour of the school. Went to the GSA (Gay Straight Alliance) meeting. It was a very nice discussion. When we got back to Acadec, Mr. Hahm pulled us into the hall for being so late. Well, I was sorely tempted to give him a piece of my mind, and lecture on the topic of priorities. Yeesh. But Acadec was pretty cool as Acadec goes, and I actually played liquid wars finally. I lost, but still. We walked over to Peterson, and played Mafia. Which is a real cool game. Then we went to Dim Sum. I did feel for the vegetarians in the audience, but I liked it. Then we went outside and ate (drank) watermelon. Yum. Then... as I get to the good part, the music sounds, and extended advisroy ends. Whoops. Sorry 'bout that.
